Tadi siang saya melihat di salah satu forum komunitas linux tentang firefox 8 di ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx). Di sana membahas tentang cara upgrade firefox bawaan dari ubuntu 10.04 yakni versi 3.6.3 menjadi versi 8.0.. Akhirnya pun saya ikut mencoba mengupgrade firefox 3.6.3 yang ada di ubuntu 10.04 desktop saya menjadi firefox 8.0. Caranya mudah saja. Mari kita bahas..
- Buka terminal atau konsole pada ubuntu anda
- Ketikkan sudo -i atau su (super user)
- Ketik atau copy perintah berikut
add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable
Lalu berikutnya ketikkan apt-get update
Setelah proses update selesai ketikkan apt-get install firefox
Tekan enter, dan ketikkan Y untuk konfirmasi melanjutkan instalasiMaka seperti dibawah ini....
